  • This is an awesome article. I am so happy that the bailout was voted down so that there was time and ROOM for ideas such as this one to surface. I think the only reason people weren't thinking along this vein was because of panic and power trips.

  • yeah. I am so happy that I never opened a credit card.. or I'd be like so many of my friends who have thousands of dollars in charge ups that just covered living costs.

  • thanks! yeah... its a lot of debt I took on after I transferred to a U (try $52k...) but I don't have any consumer debt, car is paid off, and there's no way in hell I'll by a house anytime soon.. so maybe I'll be debt free by 32 (i'm 24).

  • Jeremiah -- I TOTALLY agree! I did that... my parents were never approved, and I went to com college, worked AND took out my own loans. I may have debt, but it's mine, not shouldered by my parents at least.
